Making Waves in Inuit Art Symposium

Exhibited mixed-media works exploring Inuit identity, resilience, and storytelling, alongside participation in the symposium, which fostered dialogue on contemporary Inuit art and cultural expression.

I had a total of six pieces on display at the event, which took place at Montreal’s La Guilde gallery and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.

Magis

The MAGIS logo is built to stand out—bold, clean, and full of energy. At its core is the starburst symbol, a striking blend of retro charm and modern precision. Inspired by mid-century car emblems and vintage garage signs, it radiates craftsmanship, speed, and power, perfectly reflecting MAGIS’ dedication to muscle cars, hot rods, and full customization culture.

WHAT IS

MAGIS?

Magis Custom Cars is a to-be-launched video game car shop simulator.

The game offers players an opportunity to salvage or purchase used classic cars and go through a process of modifying, rebuilding and customizing these cars for resale.

The game is photo-realistic with accurate and realistic specifications to make the experience as real as possible. Work on an old school engine, design your customizations and then take it out on the track for testing.

Ask Me Another Canada

Ask Me Another Canada is a lively CBC show blending trivia, comedy, and music, hosted by Sook-Yin Lee with house musician.

Kardinal Offishall. This branding concept infuses Indigenous and Inuit culture into a bold, modern design.

Inspired by traditional Inuit tattoos and First Nations beadwork, the reimagined Rubik’s Cube symbolizes cultural storytelling.

The Dance Current

For The Dance Current, I created an original cover illustration portraying an

aerial dancer whose strength and grace symbolize the themes of the issue—histories, identities, and power.

Her pose, traditional tunniit tattoos, and confident stance embody the resilience and presence of Indigenous women in contemporary media.

Pauktuutit Inuit

Women of Canada

Cover & Header Illustration

About the Cover... Uuktuutiit is the Inuktitut term for

“Tools for Measurement”. Inuit seamstresses are accustomed to using a keen eye and their experience of observation to make precise

measurements. They understand that there is no one size fits all. Just like sewing together the meticulously measured pieces of a pattern, choosing the sexual health indicators that work best for each community’s or region’s needs will help to assemble a holistic picture of sexual health which is tailored for the perfect fit!

Kayak Canada’s History Society

Ataatasiaq’s Legacy

I wrote and illustrated a story about A young brother and sister who embark on a journey of discovery as their grandfather teaches them the skill and knowledge required to build an igloo. Through his wisdom, they learn not only the technical aspects of construction but also the deeper cultural significance of the igloo within their Inuit heritage. This timeless tradition connects them to their

ancestors, reinforcing the resilience and ingenuity of their people.
